CO2OLAND

CO2OLAND is a Serious Game authored by Fernando Esteban Montero-de-Oliveira, Alessa Maus & Dr. Sabine Reinecke from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and developed by the Game Studio at Ishara Press. The game simulates the situation of farmers in southern Germany with respect to land use and carbon sequestration. It is available in both German and English.

 

The game comes with four different instruction booklets:

  • For playing without a facilitator (English version)
  • For playing without a facilitator (German version)
  • For playing with a facilitator (English version)
  • For playing with a facilitator (German version)

Game materials can be downloaded for print-and-play here. These materials include:

  • 1 x game board
  • 4 x yield cards
  • 2 x tracking lines
  • 1 x game flow chart
  • 3 x surprise cards
  • 1 x common CO2 pool sheet

Player tokens, game flow counter, and land use tiles (non-printable materials) can be recreated from the photos in the same folder.
